DAY1 IS IN THE BOOKS!

550 MILES AND PERFECT WEATHER.  THE THREE HOUR DELAY WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT FOR THE RAIN.  THE WEATHER COULDN'T HAVE BEEN ANY BETTER. I GOT TO THE MOTEL AROUND 1830.  HERB BEAT ME HERE BY ABOUT AN HOUR.  CINDY'S CATFISH WAS JUST OK.  TOMORROW THE REAL FUN STARTS.

Well the time has finally come.  Time to hit the dusty, (or in today's case...WET) trail!  Am delaying departure for one more hour to try and miss some wet weather.

 

Had a great "going away" dinner last night with my brother, friends Tank, Mopic and Tank's wife Deb. (I'm still having nightmares over the pink sneakers she had on).  Wish they were all leaving with me today.  Will hook up with Herb later tonight after a short little 515 mile jaunt!!
